One person, London Ontario
The studio is a man and a tape measure.
This is where Aniket says where the name came from, what the rooms end up looking like, and who the work is actually for. It is all in the first person because there is only one person.
In his own words
Self-taught, and saying so.
“Hi! I'm Aniket, founder of AURCO Interiors, a London, Ontario based interior styling service company. I'm a self-taught interior decorator and stylist. After many years of helping friends and family style and design their spaces in India and Canada, and receiving positive and encouraging reviews, it was time to expand the horizons and turn this passion into a profession!”
Aniket, founder of AURCO Interiors
“I believe that interior design should not always be a luxury service, but also be available at an affordable price to homeowners, renters and DIY enthusiasts who just need guidance with space planning, a one stop shop for furniture selections and that final touch of a curated space that everyone enjoys and needs to feel ‘at home’ after a long day at work.”
Aniket, founder of AURCO Interiors
Both of those are his, left as he wrote them. The second one is why every price on this site is a three-digit number and why the first fifteen minutes cost nothing.
Where the name came from
Two skies, one house.
AURCO is two words, one from each side of the family. Both halves are in the mark: an A and a C drawn over one another so they share a single stroke, the name set underneath, and then the line the studio signs everything with.
AUR
from Aurora BorealisThe northern lights — a light display seen in certain parts of Canada, and the country the studio works in. The cold half.
CO
from “Orko” — Sun, in SanskritThe second half came from the word “Orko” — Sun, in the Indian language Sanskrit. The warm half, and the heritage the founder brought with him.
“AURCO aptly defines the amalgamation of embracing one's heritage, merging it with modern times.”
Aniket, founder
The signature aesthetic
Heirlooms, and a sofa you bought last year.
“AURCO's signature aesthetic combines family heirlooms and vintage decor items with modern and contemporary design elements, creating a transitional home that tells your story of who you are and is a collection of what you love.”
Aniket, founder
Transitional is the working word in that sentence. It means the room never has to pick a side — the inherited vessel is not a museum label, and the new sofa is not an apology for it.
Most of the pieces that make a room feel like yours are already in the house. The job is deciding which ones get the good wall, and what has to get quieter so they can be seen. That is a series of small decisions rather than a shopping spree, which is also why it does not have to be expensive.
There is no house style being applied to your room. If there were, it would be visible in the photographs, and it is not: the rooms have navy sectionals, tan leather, carved wood, black frames and a lot of plants, in whatever combination that particular family already owned.
Look at the rooms and see whether they look like one person's taste or like several different families.

Mission and vision
What the studio is aiming at.
Both of these are AURCO's own words, left more or less as they were written.
01 · Our mission
Our mission is to create a space of beauty, functionality and comfort that perfectly matches your personality and your family's needs, with meticulous details to ensure your space looks well curated and inviting. We achieve this by considering every facet of your life, including your daily rituals, profession, hobbies and of course design tastes. We strive to make a timeless space by incorporating design elements that are sustainable and will create a sense of harmony in your day-to-day life.
02 · Our vision
Our e-design services are tailored to bring your ideas to life while incorporating our professional holistic vision at an affordable price. We aim to create a renovated space that seamlessly combines aesthetics, comfort and practicality. Our vision is to ensure every space has a story behind it, by tying in vintage artwork and furniture pieces with modern elements to showcase our client's heritage.
Who it is for
Homeowners, renters, and people doing it themselves.
The studio's own answer: homeowners, renters and DIY enthusiasts with busy schedules, setting up their spaces at their own pace and budget, with the help of detail-oriented advice.
That is why the work is shaped the way it is. E-design is your space designed entirely online and delivered as a plan you carry out yourself, at whatever speed suits you — the final plan is written as a do-it-yourself guide.
Designer for a Day exists for people who want to do the design, the layout, the sourcing and the renovating themselves and just want someone to check the thinking first. That one is London, Ontario only, because it happens in your house.
No charge, no pitch
If you want to talk it through, the first fifteen minutes are free.
Bring one photo of the room and the thing about it that has been bothering you.
